About Me
We are a busy family of 4 living in Southwater. We have a confident 7yr old daughter who loves all things crafting, music and dancing. Our 4yr old son loves all things spidey and nothing more than being active. Both children are very active and adore being outside.
Me and my husband work demanding full time jobs and whilst we work from home a lot, my husband also travels extensively for work. We like to be out and about as a family as much as possible and love exploring new places together.
My Requirements
Nanny / Housekeeper - Southwater
We are a busy, friendly family of four living in Southwater, looking for an experienced and reliable Nanny/Housekeeper to support us with childcare and household tasks.
Role Details:
* Days & Hours: Tuesday - Thursday, 10am - 6pm (year-round)
* Annual Leave: 24 days FTE plus bank holidays (19.5 days per year for this role - 50% of annual leave to be allocated)
* Salary: £27,000 FTE (£16,224 for the advertised 24 hours per week)
* Location: Southwater
* Start Date: ASAP
About Our Family:
We have two wonderful children – a confident and creative 7-year-old daughter who loves crafting, music, and dancing, and an energetic 4-year-old son who adores all things Spider-Man and enjoys being active. Both children love the outdoors and thrive on fun and engaging activities.
We are both professionals with demanding full-time jobs. While we work from home frequently, my husband also travels extensively for work. We love spending time together as a family, exploring new places, and making the most of our weekends.
We do have some suspected SEN concerns (not yet formally diagnosed), so experience with or knowledge of SEN would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare Duties
* Collection from Southwater Infants during term time
* Prepare and serve dinner for both children
* Support them to complete homework as required
* Engage the children in fun and stimulating activities until 6pm
* Drive the children to after-school clubs as needed (a driver with own car is preferred)
* During school holidays: Provide full-day care for both children, including arranging or taking them to age-appropriate activities to keep them engaged and entertained. During this time, household chores will not be expected to be completed to the same level.
* There may also be the opportunity for ad hoc babysitting, should the candidate be interested.
Housekeeping Duties
Daily:
* Hoover
* Laundry (treat stains, wash, dry, iron, put away)
* Clean kitchen surfaces
Weekly:
* Clean bathrooms
* Change bedding
* Put away food shop delivery
Monthly:
* Clean skirting boards
* Hoover sofas
* Clean fridge
* Clean washing machine
* Clean dishwasher
Ad hoc:
* Ensure the home remains organised, clean, and tidy
* Load/unload the dishwasher
* Clean air fryer, toaster, and microwave
* Organise cupboards and playroom
* Wipe down cupboard doors
* Mop floors
About You:
* Previous experience in a nanny/housekeeper role (preferred, not essential)
* A warm, caring, and responsible nature
* Experience with SEN (advantageous but not essential)
* A full UK driving licence and own car (essential)
* Strong organisational and housekeeping skills
* Trustworthy, proactive, and able to work independently
