My Summary

My Experience

Whilst completing my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award I chose to do my volunteer work at my local kids club. I worked with children from the ages of reception to year 6 and loved creating different types of enrichment to teach and entertain the children. My role involved supervising and interacting with children to promote their play. Similarly, I was first aid trained during my DOFE award, however, I have not had the chance to update this qualification.

Since July 2023, I have volunteered at Ripponden Junior and Infant School to support classes and events when needed. I have carried out many duties including playing with and supervising children, helping with displays and organising resources. During this time I have had experience with a range of children from Reception to year 6, including those with additional needs. I received much praise from school staff, children and parents during this time. I am particularly proud that the children have encouraged me to come back to help.

During my first year of university, I joined a public education scheme called 'Street Law' at the University of East Anglia. This involves teaching legal knowledge such as general advice and an overview of their rights in the UK. Throughout this program, I have worked with and given presentations to children ranging from Primary schools to Sixth Forms and Colleges in Norfolk.

My Qualifications

I was first aid trained during my DOFE award, however, I have not had the chance to update this qualification. Although, I have successfully given life-saving CPR since this qualification has expired and plan on taking any opportunity at University next year to change this.

Whilst training for a food service job at the University I have completed Food Allergy and Intolerance Training conducted by the Food Standards Agency.

My Availability

I start an internship in Norwich and will be unavailable from the 17th of August. However, I come home from University for 7 weeks in December-January, 4 weeks in April and 3 months in the summer.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £9.00 per hour

I plan on keeping my fees as affordable as possible!
