About Me
I am an energetic gap year student looking to support parents in a regular babysitting role. I love kids, and have both professional and personal experience working with children. In my spare time I like to paint, read and write terrible poetry, passions which I feel like began in my childhood. As a result, as a babysitter I love to get kids away from their screens and into something engaging and entertaining.
My Experience
For nine months I worked for Explore learning, a tutoring company where I was responsible for curating and delivering tutoring sessions to students from ages 5 - 14. During this time I developed strong relationships with my students, and it was extremely fulfilling to watch their academic improvement as we worked together. This role gave me an enduring patience, confidence with children, and re-sparked my imagination! It was in this role that my passion for childcare and childhood development began. While I was responsible for teaching my kids, I walked away from this role feeling like I learnt more from them than I had taught them, which was my favourite part of this position.
I have been Babysitting for friends and family sporadically since I was 15, which has been challenging and rewarding. I have had some good reviews, and have been responsible for children ages 5-12 for between 3 hours and 3 days.
As the eldest of four, I have, over the years, been responsible for babysitting, teaching, commuting and caring for them all in some capacity. I feel that this is my strongest experience when it comes to babysitting, and while I helped out begrudgingly when I was younger, now that they are all entering their teens and need me less, I miss it!
My Qualifications
No formal childcare qualifications but fully DBS checked and happy to undergo further checks / interviews.

Broad availability, but preferably evenings and weekends.
