My Summary

My Experience

I have a wealth of experience caring for children, starting with being an older sister to my 13-year-old brother and 8-year-old sister. Additionally, I spent two intensive months working at a summer camp, where I cared for children aged 8-16. This was a fantastic experience that taught me to remain calm in all circumstances and prepared me for almost any situation. I loved sharing my creativity with the kids and had main responsibilities that included ensuring my cabin of 7-12 children were getting ready in the morning, arriving at meals on time, being kind to others, enjoying their time, and following bedtime routines. I also taught printmaking to the children, setting up fun and adaptable workshops for various ages. Currently I am a summer Art Workshop assistant for a kids art club in Hove, which is a perfect cross over of my favourite things, childcare and creativity! I spend my days assisting the kids (ages 6 to 16) with their art projects, working around any obstacles they may face, and ensuring they are having a fun and engaging time.

My Qualifications

While I do not have formal childcare qualifications, I have completed my GCSEs, a BTEC, and a BA in Graphic Design. I have practical experience as an older sister to my 13-year-old brother and 8-year-old sister, and I worked for two months at a summer camp with children aged 8-16. At the camp, I received basic first aid training. These experiences have equipped me with essential skills in childcare, including patience and compassion, effective communication and problem solving.

My Availability

Currently I am available for evenings from 5pm and weekends. In September I will be available for a full-time nanny position, or to find a more consistent position with a family
