About Me
I’m a 35 year old mum living in Leytonstone working in the TV industry - daughter Eira is 3, and we have a little boy who’s six months old. We’re a relaxed household with a similar approach to parenting, although also encourage boundary setting.
My Requirements
Part-Time Nanny Needed – Leytonstone (May–September, Potential to Extend)
We’re a family of four based in Leytonstone, looking for a warm, reliable nanny with plenty of energy to start in early May. I’m currently on maternity leave and need an extra pair of hands to help with our two little ones – a 6-month-old and a 3-year-old.
The role is a mix of helping out with the baby, doing light household jobs (laundry, tidying, washing up), and cooking or prepping meals for the kids. During the day, we’ll be tag-teaming a bit – sometimes you’ll be with the baby while I get things done, and other times you’ll be helping with things around the house. I’ll also be doing a bit of part-time work here and there.
Our 6-month-old is a smiley, engaging little chap who loves a laugh and a music class. Our 3-year-old is calm, thoughtful, and generally a delight to be around – she’s at nursery during the day, and pick-up and help with the evening routine is a big part of the role. My husband works long hours, so I’m usually on my own in the evenings and would really appreciate the support.
I work in TV, and we’re a relaxed, friendly household. We’re looking for someone confident with babies and toddlers, happy in the kitchen (nothing fancy – just simple, healthy meals), and able to muck in with whatever needs doing. We really value the work our nanny does and aim to create a respectful, supportive environment. You’ll be treated like part of the team – with plenty of tea, snacks, and good chats along the way.
Rough hours:
3 or 4 afternoons a week (Monday to Friday), starting around 2 or 3pm and finishing around 7/7:30pm. There’s some flexibility, and potential for extra hours if it works for both of us.
If you’re only available for 2 days a week, we’d still love to hear from you – we may be able to find someone else to cover the other days.
Dates:
From early May until late September, with the option to continue longer-term in a more after-school focused role once I’m back at work.
