Hi! My name is Amie, and I am 30 years old. I live in Weymouth with my fiancee, my dog Bentley, and my two cats, Blue and Bear.
I am a primary school teacher, and in my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, reading, long walks on the beach and using my paddleboard.
I have always had a passion for working with children - it is the most rewarding job in the world!
My Experience
I studied the Level 3 Cache Diploma in Childcare and Education whilst at college, during which I completed 4 placements across various settings (baby room, pre school, primary school and SEN school)
I then went on to study for my BEd in Primary Education at Winchester University, where I gained my QTS and a 2:1 degree.
Whilst I was completing my degree, I worked as a support worker for children with additional needs for 4 years. Here, I was lucky enough to work with a wide range of different children and learned a lot of skills, including how to use non-verbal communication methods such as PECs, and gained a valuable insight into how best to support children with a range of needs.
Once I qualified as a teacher, I worked for 7 years at a primary school in Weymouth, teaching across Nursery-Year 1. I am now currently teaching in a Reception class, at a lovely village school in the Purbeck area.
I have recently completed my Masters in Education, in which I gained a distinction!

My Availability
As I work as a full time teacher, my availability is limited to evenings and weekends. However, during the school holidays, I can be much more flexible.
