Hi my names Nikki I am a long haul flight attendant returning to work in late August, I have a beautiful 9 month old baby girl Lola, she is very easy going, sleeps well, eats well and is just starting to walk. She is very independent- loves play, food and attention! But also happy to occupy herself. Im pretty laid back as a mum and always aim to make things easy!
Im looking for someone who can help us with full day child care for a set number of days that will alternate monthly. Happy to consider childcare in our home or yours, or mixture. Other children welcome to our house if so. We have a large enough lounge for play and activities which is baby proofed and outdoor soft flooring on our large patio as well as a grass area. An easy environment to look after one child or more. We have two friendly cats that sleep all day but other than that you would have the house to yourself. I am happy to pay for some monthly outings too. We have an automatic 4x4 if vehicle was needed that we could insure candidate on, we are only 15 minutes walk from the town and have a playpark right outside our house with reasonable grassed area, we live in a quiet cul de sac and have friendly neighbors who all know and love Lola.
My Requirements
I am looking for childcare to cover around 10 days of each month. Due to the nature of my job my work schedule varies from month to month so I am looking for someone who can offer working day flexibility for which i would provide good notice. I will be able to guarantee a negotiated amount of working days a month- ideally between 8-10 days- but as you can imagine they will differ from week to week depending on my flights. I operate a 56 day work rota so i know well in advance what my shifts are but they don't follow a normal pattern month after month.
My partner is self employed so we are both pretty flexible when it comes to availability, we also have some assistance from grandparents. I usually do 2 or 3 trips a month which are 4/5 days each, my partner can move his days around to fit in with child care and my flight days etc. This can be a 2 way street and we can offer flexibility in return to the candidate should you have holidays/plans we can incorporate our grandparent help and change some of our work patterns to suit. As stated we are ideally looking to commitment of 8/10 days a month but are very easy going and just trying to ‘work around’ everything the same Flexibility applies to start and finishing times- ideally 8-5:30 would be great but we have some wiggle room and can work around that if a later start or earlier finish was required on occasion.
