About Me
We are a family of 4 (my husband and I and our two girls (3 and 18 months), and a lovely family dog. We have a relaxed and happy home and are moving to White Waltham outside of Maidenhead in January, leaving our much loved Nanny of 3 years as she cannot join us. Ideally we are looking for someone to join us mid -January, and are flexible on the start date if required. My husband works in the City every day, and I work from our home office 2 days a week, and go in to the office 2 days.
We know that some nannies have reservations about a parent being at home, our girls are very used to this set up (its all they've ever known!) and know that when our Nanny is in the house, its she and not I who calls the shots. In this role, as the youngest will start nursery for 2 mornings a week, the 'overlap' of days when we are both at home is limited to a couple of afternoons (as I presume most mornings will include an activity out of the house before lunch/nap time!). One of the main reasons we like to employ a Nanny is because I like being close to them during the working day (even if 99% of the time I am just listening to playing and laughter from downstairs!).
My Requirements
We are looking for someone to work 30 hours a week from Monday - Thursday. We have outlined our preferred pattern below and need to try to follow this to tie in with nursery places. We will consider alternatives only for exceptional candidates. Our 3 year old will attend nursery each morning and some extended days (until 3:30pm). Our 18MO will join her at nursery for 2 mornings a week, so we are looking for someone to help with the youngest and the 3YO when she is at home.
Key details: A driving licence is essential. Duties include some nursery pick-up/drop off, finding activities for the children, cooking children’s meals, washing/ironing for the children's clothes and keeping the areas the children use in the house clean.
In an ideal world you would be able to provide occasional flexibility for additional hours/days when requested and some babysitting if you are interested.
We are keen to hear from individuals who have experience in Nanny/Housekeeper roles, and there would be additional hours or salary for someone undertaking this role.
We will be shortlisting candidates until early December, and completing interviews on Teams between 6-14 December. Ideally we aim to do a paid trial day/afternoon with 1-2 successful candidates to give you a chance to meet us and the girls before deciding to work together. We would aim to make a decision no later than December 16 to allow any required notice to be given on your existing role. Please let us know in your application if there are any issues with this timeline.
When making your application please provide your salary expectations (gross) for the outlined number of hours.
