Drive the children to and from school or any extra activities or clubs and to help prepare children for bedtime.
Meet with parents weekly to discuss any schedule changes etc.
I am First Aid Trained, Safeguarding and DBS checked.
My Experience
I have cared for 3 young boys, all from new borns to present ages of 3,4 and 5 years old.
I still currently care for a young 4 year old a couple days a week whom I cared for everyday since birth for 9 months.
I am confident in the new born stage and what they require eg. Making bottles, changing nappy’s, settling them for sleep. Taking the baby on walks with the pushchair or carrier for fresh air or to help settle them. I am well researched on safe sleeping for newborns and the importance of it.
Making sure their needs are met at the highest level of care.
I have a full driving license so taking the children for days out, for an indoor or outdoor interactive activity is something I find is always successful with the children, going to the beach, a walk to explore or an indoor trampoline centre, doing arts and crafts and age appropriate baking are some of their favourites. I believe it is also important to plan accordingly around their interests and how they are feeling.
I am a very gentle and caring person, I find taking the time to talk and understand the child is extremely important. However making sure I am following the parent’s way of how they like to parent and their rules with the children.
