About Me
I am Montessori trained with 20 years plus experience in schools and home environments. I have experience in long term and short positions so adaptibility and getting 'stuck in' are skills that I can provide in new positions. I aim to provide a caring, fun and stimulating yet always safe environment for the children in my care. Working alongside the parents is also an important aspect of my work and providing support to them through clear communication. Helping children reach their development milestones, and for them to develop at their own pace, is important to me, - their successes leads to a happy, joyful and confident young person. Aiding them in social interactions is also important, so encouraging them to interact with their peers is something I very much support. I am a loyal employee, resilient, kind and friendly outlook in my everyday life, good sense of humour - always seeks to 'go the extra mile' for my employers. My Experience
I have worked with children ranging from 1-12 yrs. I have worked in schools with whole classes, 1-1 support and SEND children. Providing interventions who just need a boost to catch up with their peers. In the home environment I have worked for many families as I worked for agencies but I have also had long term positions as well. My main positions have been looking after the children with household tasks, homework, attending school events, playdates, holiday activities and caring for family pets. Many of children who are now adults themselves I still see, which is amazing. Building strong, lasting relationships with the children and families is something I am proud of. I am First Aid qualified, and DBS checked enhanced. Have an interest in Makaton and BSL.
