My Requirements
We are seeking an experienced childcare professional to look after our son two evenings a week (Thursdays and Fridays) during term time. The role involves meeting him off his transport from school when he arrives home and looking after him in his home until a parent returns. This will be approximately three hours (2.45-5.45pm) but precise timings will be confirmed nearer the time. His home is located in Chippenham.
Our son is 11 years old, very friendly and capable, and he loves playing in the garden, playing with his toys and doing drawing and crafts. You would need to be around to supervise these activities and to give him a snack (which will be ready prepared). He has ADHD, some learning delay and is autistic. He is epileptic and you would need to be prepared to call an ambulance if he has a prolonged seizure.
You will be a friendly, reliable professional with some experience of working with autistic children and young people.
Pay negotiable. Start early-mid October.
