About Me

What's the difference between a night nanny and a doula?
A night nanny and an overnight doula both provide support during the night for new parents, but their roles and focus differ significantly.
A night nanny primarily cares for the baby, handling tasks like feeding, diaper changes, and soothing the infant to help parents get uninterrupted sleep. They typically do not provide education or emotional support, focusing instead on the physical care of the newborn.
An overnight doula offers comprehensive support that includes not only caring for the baby but also educating and empowering parents. They may assist with breastfeeding, provide guidance on newborn care, and offer emotional support to help parents navigate the early days. Doulas focus on the family’s overall well-being, fostering a supportive environment.

I want to help you to feel empowered, supported and encouraged during your birth and post partum period.
Let me know what you need from me to help you have a positive experience that you can look back on and be happy with the choices you made, and I'll try my best to make that happen
I will be your cheerleader and sounding board, your voice of reason and strength, and your calm in the storm as you navigate this period of transition.

As an evidence-based doula, I take pride in sharing a broad range of reputable links and sources tailored to your personal circumstances. This ensures you have all the information you need, presented with care and understanding. By providing you with the full picture, including all the pros and cons, I aim to help you feel confident and supported in making the best choices for you and your baby on this beautiful journey.

As your postnatal doula, I will be there to support and nurture you and your family during the first weeks and months after childbirth.
I will offer emotional encouragement and practical assistance, gently guiding you through newborn care, including feeding, soothing techniques, and more.
I'll help with light household chores, allowing you to focus on bonding with your baby. Most importantly, I'll be a compassionate listener, ensuring that you feel confident and cared for during this precious time.

As a nighttime doula, I will be by your side during those crucial nighttime hours, offering support and reassurance. Whether you are breastfeeding or bottle-feeding, I will care for your baby, allowing you to get the rest you need to recover and recharge. I understand how tough it is with little to no sleep, and a full night’s rest can make the days much easier to manage. From soothing your little one back to sleep to assisting with nighttime feedings and nappy changes, I will ensure a peaceful and restful night for your family. My goal is to create a comforting and calm environment, so you can wake up feeling refreshed and ready to embrace the new day with your baby.

I am passionate about breastfeeding and will support you to reach your personal feeding goals, whatever they may be.

Although I am in the early days of my career I am fortunate enough to have the vast knowledge, experience and guidance of many many other doulas at my fingertips through the community of Developing Doulas who I completed my training with. And 2 dedicated mentors to support me on my journey.

The female body fascinates me and I am so passionate about being able to share my knowledge and resources with mothers to ensure they feel confident going into this phase of their lives.

As previously mentioned I have 2 young daughters, and live with them my husband and German Shepherd - Winston just outside of Norwich. I am happy to travel anywhere in Norfolk for clients, and further afield at an arranged cost.

Please do get in touch for a chat if you think I could be the doula for you!

I would love to be there to support you as you blossom into the mother you want to be, and that I know you can be!

I look forward to hearing from you :)

My Experience

I have had the joy of being a stay at home mum for the majority of the past 6 years since having my own 2 girls. As well as having multiple friends around me going through the same stage of their lives. So I have lived and breathed pregnancy, birth and early motherhood in this time, which has given me invaluable experience in nurturing and supporting young families. I've loved helping other mums reach their breastfeeding goals, following on from a peer supporter training course, creating a warm supportive environment around this special time. I recently took my passion further by completing a Doula preparation course with Developing Doulas which was a truly incredible experience. This has equipped me with the professional skills and knowledge to support families. Combining my personal and professional experiences, I'm excited to offer friendly, empathetic and tailored support to you and your family.

My Qualifications

I completed a Breastfeeding Mother Supporter course with the ABM in 2019
And in 2024 have completed a Doula preparation course with Developing Doulas. I have also completed a hypnobirthing facilitator course with Birth Prep In a Box this year.

My Availability

I am currently available for overnight support on Monday and Wednesdays. Times for these shifts are negotiable. If you are interested in myself as a birth doula then please do get in touch so we can have a chat :)
