About Me
Hi, I'm an *NAMCW trained nanny who moved into producing BBC Children's Television years ago, then on to major productions in the USA. I am now semi-retired, currently working on a creative project from home and wanting to focus on a local part-time job with children instead.
If you are looking for someone who can feed the imagination of your kids, do lots of outdoor pursuits with them, support them with their favourite sport as well as their homework, and school projects, then I could just be the right fit for your family. I also love dogs and have a lifetime of experience with those too!
My Experience
I have worked with children of all ages since I was a teenager (many moons ago!) as a babysitter, throughout my two years of training and child psychology studies - at playgroups, maternity wards and special needs centres, several summers with families both in the UK and Menorca, Chester House private childcare centre in Sydney, Australia, my Godson in Jordan from toddler to teen, and all the children I have worked with in-between - both during filming on location and in studio environments from Blue Peter to documentaries about education.
My Qualifications
The NAMCW diploma (National Association for Maternal and Child Welfare) is a two-year full-time course that includes both practical and theoretical components and incorporates child development. Nannies with NAMCW qualifications are equivalent to the NVQ Level 3 and BTEC qualifications of today.
My Availability
I can be flexible and as long as scheduled in advance.
Ideally, I would like to work a maximum of three to four days out of seven but happy to discuss.
