Hi, my name is Jess. I am 21 years old, and have just completed a degree in Human geography with a placement year. I am kind, caring and personable and love being able to help look after children.
My Experience
I have babysat a range of ages before, ranging from 3 months - 15 years old. I have also a qualified tutor, with over 3.5 years of experience. This role involves, organising weekly online geography tutoring sessions, for a variety of pupils (GCSE, A-level, 13+ and Scottish Highers). I prepare lessons each week that cater towards the individuals needs and learning style to help boost their exam performance and confidence. Throughout my time so far at this company, I have received 5 star reviews and great feedback from both my students and their parents.
I also have some voluntary experience of working with children with additional needs, and helping run a session at the local youth centre to provide a safe environment for young people with additional needs. A long side these sessions, during the school holidays I helped with various activities throughout the week such as sports days and walks. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I took on more responsibility within the charity and helped organise and lead weekly online activities such as movie and game nights. These sessions provided a safe and fun environment for these young people during a time many felt isolated.
