About Me
I’m the eldest in a big family, so I grew up around a lot of kids, both siblings and cousins. When I was younger, I lived in Brixton, until I was about three, then moved to Yemen for a year, where I learnt most of my Arabic. When we moved back, we moved around a little in South London before finally settling in Streatham, where we’ve lived for the past 12-13 years.
I honestly just love working with children. I love being able to put a smile on their faces or comfort them when they are sad.
Despite my age, I still feel like a child most of the time, so yes I can be mature, but I also love having fun and getting involved in whatever games they’re playing.
Taking my little nieces and nephews to the park is a highlight for me, especially my two-year-old niece, who dragged me from ride to ride today until we were totally exhausted. Her enthusiasm for every toy melted my heart, I love those moments.
My Experience
I used to babysit my siblings a lot, almost every day when I'd come home from college till my parents finish work.
My main responsibilities include making basic meals, helping with homework, cleaning, regular maintenance and providing entertainment.
For the past 6 years, I volunteered as a teaching assistant for the local mosque weekend school, taking care of and helping to teach kids aged 6-16 years old.
My main responsibilities are teaching, chaperoning and supervision, first and other miscellaneous tasks.
My Qualifications
I've done resus and CPR training, as well as safeguarding.
