About Me
I am a qualified Librarian with lots of experience working with children in various roles. I have relocated to Glasgow recently, from London, and am an empathetic, creative, patient and enthusiastic person. I am highly skilled at encouraging reading for pleasure and helping to boost children's confidence.
My Experience
For the last 11 years I worked in an independent school library in London for children aged 3-13, first as the Library Assistant, then the Librarian. Previous to this I spent 5 years in public libraries and much of my time was spent in the children's libraries. I am excellent at story times, craft activities, reading support and guidance. Libraries are often viewed as safe spaces and so I also have plenty of skills when it comes to supporting children's wellbeing.
My Qualifications
I have an MA in Librarianship and a BA in American and English Literature
