About Me

Hello, my name is Rebecca, and I am 20 years old and looking for babysitting roles in the local area. Currently, I am a second-year Psychology student at the University of Glasgow, which provides me with the flexibility and independence to undertake the role in childcare.

While new to professional babysitting, I have gained valuable experience caring for younger family members. My love and passion for working with children has inspired me to take this role to a more professional level.

Others often describe me as patient, organised, trustworthy and creative, these are skills that I consider to be vital qualities of a babysitter. I'm dedicated to creating a fun and educational environment that allows children to engage their imaginations to the best of their abilities. I am happy to use my creative side to organise educational games/tasks to keep children busy and happy.

Ensuring safety at all times is my number one priority which is why I'll be undertaking a first aid course before beginning any babysitting roles. Furthermore, I am happy to help with homework, meal times, bedtimes and more. I'm a great listener who is also great at following instructions so any routines that need to be kept for the children will be followed precisely.

My Experience

Although I am new to babysitting professional, I do have experience that I believe would be beneficial to babysitting.

I have had lots of opportunities to babysit younger members of my extended family. This would involve mealtimes being followed, bedtime routines, getting the children dressed, taking them out to the park for playtime and more. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time babysitting my younger cousins and do believe it gave me vital experience.

Throughout High School, I would spend some lunch times volunteering in the ASN base. This was a safe place for children with special needs. Lunch times spent here would often involve spending time with the children playing games and helping with school work/homework. I found this to be a very valuable experience as I learned how to communicate to the best of my abilities with children who face different challenges.

As I have mentioned previously, safety is my number one priority so for this reason I will be completing a children's first-aid training course before taking on any babysitting roles. As well as this I will be using the training provided on this platform to ensure I have as much knowledge to ensure I can provide the best care.

My Qualifications

I left High School in 2022 with six higher A's and one advanced higher A. In addition to that, I also have 7 National Fives A's.
