I love seeing children smile and have fun.Once you have a bond with a child it’s the most precious bond you get to have.

I have a dog myself so I am more than happy if a little fluff is around.
I think it’s important for children to have a say in activities and I love bringing children’s imaginations to life, whether that be inside or outside activities.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare for over 3 years working with ages from 2-11 years.
I have worked at a before and after school club.
This job was at a school however it was more of a home to home experience for the children.
I prepared and served a healthy breakfast and light dinner for the children as well as healthy snacks.
I carried out daily cleans in the kitchen, toilet and a weekly clean of the children’s toys.
Helping the children learn key skills eg. Washing hands before and after food.
Assisting children with toileting if needed.Promoting children who are potty training at home to use the toilet.Using their manners.Helping children with homework.
Having as much communication as possible with parents/guardians of the children to make sure they get the best experience. Communicating for any additional needs the child may have.
I am currently working at a school as an Inclusion teaching assistant which has by far taught me so much and made me love childcare even more.
Working with higher needs children is so rewarding, it has taught me so much gratitude and patience.Children with additional needs/disabilities are often so misunderstood. Once their understood, their special needs allow them to bring out how bright they are and it is so rewarding to see.
