About Me
I am a kind, reliable and adventurous individual with a soft nature. I am naturally maternal and have always found it very easy to build trusting relationships with children whether that be in my personal life or during volunteering opportunities. I am extremely punctual and accountable which has been developed through working from a young age.
I have lived independently from the age of 16, therefore I am experienced with household tasks and cooking age appropriate meals.
I have always been an active person which led me to move to Canada for a year to hike and learn to ski and snowboard. I enjoy running, swimming, cooking and playing tennis.
I believe education is extremely important so I enjoy supporting a child's academic development by educational activities. To keep children engaged and raise aspirations, academics can be made fun and enjoyable. I also encourage children to find their hobbies and passions as this provides a positive outlet for stress relief.
I am a confident driver and have been driving consistently in London for 6 years.
My Experience
I have years of personal experience looking after children, this is due to the instrumental role I played in the upbringing of my younger siblings.
In 2023, I spent four weeks in Bali volunteering at a children's school teaching English and also at a children's daycare. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I felt my motherly nature enabled me to build really strong, positive relationships with the children I worked with.
I spent my teen years being the main carer of my great-grandmother. This experience has equipped me with very strong communication skills and a great deal of patience. These skills are transferable when looking after children as patience and consistency is key.
My Qualifications
I hold 8 GCSE and 3 A Level qualifications. My a-levels are in sociology, psychology and health and social care. I studied child development and attachment theory modules as part of my A-level subjects.
I am currently in my third year of a law degree. I plan to specialise in child protection upon graduating. In my second year, I studied child protection as a module.
My Availability
I will be available everyday before school 3 days a week. My availability is flexible as there will be days of the week that i will be available all morning or all afternoon and evening. This will be confirmed when I receive my timetable in the next few weeks. Once I receive my timetable, my availability will be permanent.
I am flexible and adaptable. I can be available on and emergency basis, weekends and any extra days as and when needed.
