My Summary
About Me
Hey, I’m Sherice!
I’m 27 years old, living in Dartford, and a proud mum to a lively 3-year-old. As both a mother and a childcare professional, I have a deep understanding of the care, patience, and attention needed to help children thrive. I’m passionate about creating a positive, safe, and stimulating environment for every child in my care.
As a mother, I’ve developed a wide range of skills that naturally apply to my nannying roles. These include managing school drop-offs and pick-ups, preparing nutritious meals and snacks that the children enjoy, and planning fun, age-appropriate activities to keep them engaged, both indoors and outdoors. I also take on the responsibility of attending appointments, and I’m used to bedtime routines, from bath time to reading stories, helping children wind down for a peaceful night’s sleep. I’ve handled bottle feeding and have plenty of experience settling children who may feel anxious or detached from their parents, ensuring they feel comforted and secure.
In addition to my personal experience as a mum, I’ve spent three years as a nanny for a family with three children (aged 4, 6, and 9). In this role, I provided full-time care, juggling the needs of children at different developmental stages while fostering a nurturing and playful environment. I also worked at an afterschool club with children aged between 5 and 11, organising a range of activities that encouraged both learning and creativity. Prior to that, I gained valuable hands-on experience in two nurseries, where I supported early learning and socialisation in a structured setting.
My passion for childcare started early on, during work experience placements at nurseries while I was in secondary school and college. This inspired me to pursue my studies in Level 3 Health and Social Care in college. I also hold a Childhood & Youth Studies at university, which has given me a solid foundation in understanding the physical, emotional, and social needs of children.
I’m reliable, enthusiastic, and love to create fun, enriching experiences for children, whether that’s through creative play, outdoor adventures, or helping with their homework. The safety and wellbeing of the children I care for is always my top priority, and I work hard to ensure they feel secure, happy, and confident.
