I am an enthusiastic and nurturing primary teacher. I have recently returned home after living in New Zealand for the last 10 years.
I am passionate about working with children in a fun and educational way. I truly believe children are extraordinary and deserve the very best in order to become their very best selves too.
With 8 years working with children and their families, building relationships is the foundation to my work. My greatest strength is in the care I take to build and foster positive and meaningful relationships by learning about and valuing each individuals’ diverse personalities. I relish in coming up with engaging ways to spend time, in a way that is meaningful for each child. I can hold the space with clear boundaries that help children feel heard, safe and valued.
My communication and organisational skills are utmost. I can be relied upon to be prompt, share back celebrations/concerns so that we have an open and honest partnership. This includes keeping the space clean & tidy. I do chores and am happy to work on any areas you would like to individualise the care.
My Experience
8 years as a Primary Teacher - New Entrant (equivalent to Primary 1)
5 years Team Leading - providing training for staff on childhood development and supporting best practice
1.5 years nannying twins every Friday/Saturday - full responsibilities and household care.
3 years ad hoc babysitting for 2 children age from 4-6 and 6-8 - fun and light activities, bedtimes.

Primary Teacher - GTCS registered
Post Graduate Diploma in Primary Teaching
Multiple courses in childhood development - especially in play based philosophies
MA joint Honours in International Relations and Spanish

My Availability
I am currently looking for full or half days - set days - part-time. I can be flexible with which days I can do. Happy to do some weekends or overnights if needed. And I can be available for ad-hoc work if required.
