About Me
I am a 21 year old student studying medicine at the University of Edinburgh. I uphold the highest standards of responsibility and professionalism in everything I do. In my spare time, I love to cook and bake. Making food look exciting and delicious is my passion and I share allergy friendly recipes. No matter your children's allergies or preferences, I can prepare something tasty and nutritious! At university, I am involved with various societies including the Paediatrics Society, where I will continue to liaise with the Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity about fundraising activities. I enjoy being outdoors, particularly bike rides and running to make the most of Edinburgh's scenery.
My Experience
I love caring for children and am looking for babysitting work as the flexible nature works with my schedule. As part of my medical course and wider volunteering, I have first aid training and PVG checks. I have experience as an NHS volunteer, being involved in providing activities for patients in hospital, as well as assisting with mealtimes, washing and dressing. I love to read and have good knowledge of popular children's authors from previous work. I hope to convey a sense of joy and excitement about books to younger readers! My babysitting experience is of looking after relatives' children for many years (they can provide references if interested). I studied for school exams in Scotland (A grades in all National 5s, Highers and Advanced Highers that I studied) and would be happy to support any homework activities. I benefitted from the Edinburgh City music service (flautist) and can encourage music practice in children.
