About Me
I'm a mum of 4 lovely and lively little boys and a former classroom teacher, teaching assistant, and nanny. I follow the EYFS curriculum and am outdoor and activity focused. I grew up in the Lake District and am now lucky enough to live within walking distance of woods, parks, fields, and trails. I love to read and encourage children to read each day.
I believe children learn best through play and world exploration. We are a TV-free household and place importance on organic learning, outdoor play, and collaborative activities. I provide a home from home environment with home cooked meals and regular outings to places such as Castle park, Friday woods and often further afield.
My Experience
I was previously a classroom teacher working in various settings and before this, I was both a teaching assistant and a part-time nanny. I have worked in educational settings for over 10 years in a variety of roles with an array of responsibilities.
I have 4 of my own young children and have a busy, lively, fun and nurturing household full of chatter and activity.
My Qualifications
All relevent statutory childminder qualifications are up to date including Pediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Designated Lead level 3. I also hold a Food Safety qualification.
My Availability
I offer fully flexible childcare to meet parental needs. My standard hours are set as 6.30 am- 7.30 pm Mon-Sat. However, I will always try to offer as much flexibility in hours and days available as possible and subject to discussion. I offer childcare in the school holidays .
I will be offering home school help for parents whose children are both home schooled and in mainstream schooling. we are currently working on learning about the Amazon rainforest.

My fees include all meals but may exclude some trips.
