About Me
I am an Ofsted registered Childminder in Hoddesdon. I have 3 children of my own, aged between 10 and 3. I have a good sized garden, and a playroom with a wide range of indoor and outdoor toys and activities.
I have all the relevant certificates in childcare, including my DBS and First Aid. These are available upon request
My Experience
I have 3 children of my own and have experience of looking after children of my friends and family over the years. Since having my first child 11 years ago, I have spent a lot of my free time reading various books, and researching about child development. I have always had an interest n Child Psychology and teaching. I have passed the first stage in teaching swimming and volunteered for a short time in a school.
I believe in a child led approach, where they get to explore the world around them at a pace that suits them. I encourage children to try and learn how to do things for themselves, whilst being aware of what is developmentally appropriate for them. I try to get out as much as possible, which includes parks, farms etc, but I also have plenty of toys to play with at home, as well arts and crafts to do.
My Qualifications
- Paediatric First Aid
- All relevant CPD certified training required to be Ofsted registered, which includes (but not limited to) Safeguarding Children, Food Hygiene and attachment Theory.
My Availability
Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 6.30pm (Although I can do some Fridays if available)
I can do drop off/pick up at Cranbourne.

My son was with this childminder for a while and we had a great experience. She was always warm, friendly, and really cared about the children. My son was happy and settled quickly in her care. I would highly recommend her to other parents.

Jennifer has been taking care of my toddler for the past few months, and he’s adjusted to her wonderfully. She’s so warm and caring with him, and her children are absolutely lovely! He looks forward to going to their home everyday because of the welcoming family environment. Jennifer also keeps me updated regularly with photos and messages, which I really appreciate. She’s incredibly accommodating and thoughtful; highly recommend her.
