About Me
I have spent the last few years working full time in 3 different rolls, ranging from learning difficulties to different mental health problems. With my current roll, I spend time in a college setting aswell as being active in the community supporting a wide range of young people all with different special needs. I have various skills and I’m willing to offer a bespoke service supporting children and young adults to help them achieve their full potential, whilst taking care of them and making sure they are enjoying themselves.

My current role, which I have been doing for almost 3 years I help support and develop students to be successful, independent, and achieve their goals in a safe and caring learning environment. I aim to provide a professional & trusted relationship with the students which puts their health, safety and overall development first. I am involved in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum for our students both on and off site. Flexibility is key in my role and includes working 1:1 with a student when required, or supporting in class working with a small group. Positive behaviour management is an important part of the role.

I found my time working with children from troubled backgrounds and with behavioural issues challenging but rewarding. I soon gained more responsibility as I proved myself as a valued member of the team. I was also able to complete more training and certifications with respect to children in care.

Being a manager has been a great experience. I’ve enjoyed managing a team of staff, making sure everything was done to a high standard and more importantly making sure the children that I took care of were whilst in my care, in a safe and happy environment.
