My baby girl was born on 20/03/2025, I’m starting to look for childcare from September and see what is provided around my area :)
It is our first child and we are thrilled to have her!
I am French and my husband is English, we wish to give our kid both cultures as it is something important to us.
We live next to Falcon road on Battersea side (by clapham junction station) and are looking for someone in the area, on my way to work (around battersea park) or on the way to my husband’s work (Wandsworth - Clapham common).
I am a nanny and used to be an early years teacher and my husband works in a gouvernant branch.
My Requirements
We don’t really know how flexible a childminder can be about hours and how this could work but I’m sure we can work this out.
From September we are only looking for 2 full days a week with possibility of drop off around 9/9.30am. Baby will be 6 months old. From January 2026, we would like to put our little girl from Monday to Thursday - I’d like to see if we can discuss on having some days just afternoon as I don’t fully work in the morning so that would be nice to have her 1 or 2 extra mornings with me.
We have noticed most childminder around our area finishes at 6pm, the earliest my husband can pick up our little girl would be 6.15/6.30pm. Also considering he works shift and sometimes will have some odd days off during the week or afternoons.
I finish work at 7pm so when my husband is a late finish (9pm) - doesn’t happen often - I will have a friend picking her up.
I also have most school holidays off (between 10 and 12 weeks a year) when I can look after my baby.
We would work around your requirements too obviously!
It’s a lot of informations and might look complicated but pretty sure we can talk around it and make this work :)
