My Experience
10 years experience working with children however, 5 years experience as a paid babysitter and nanny.
Ad hoc babysitter for various families for children aged 6 months -14 years old (July 2021 - July 2022):
- Tailored childcare needs to each specific child and understanding no child is the same.
- Assisted with homework and educational projects, providing support and encouragement.
- Ensured communication was clear between parents to ensure a smooth and positive experience for both the children and the family.
- Engaged in age-appropriate educational and developmental activities like reading, sensory, crafts, and games.
- Engaged in night feeds and overall needs of the baby during the night.
Live out Nanny for a 10 month old baby boy (April 2019 – March 2020):
- Overseen daily activities such as feeding, bathing, nappy changes, and ensuring the child’s overall well-being.
- Monitored the child’s health, administering medication if necessary, and managing any minor injuries or illnesses.
- Established and maintained consistent nap and bedtime routines.
- Performed tasks related to the child’s needs, such as cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, and doing the children’s laundry.
- Created nutritious meals for the child and followed dietary guidelines.
Babysitting Twin girls age 2 (August 2018 - April 2019):
- Created a nurturing environment for the children and ensured they were engaged and entertained throughout the day with activities.
- Implemented disciplinary measures as agreed upon with the parents, maintained consistency with their approach.
- Supervised the children to ensure their safety, both indoors and outdoors.
