About Me

Hi, I’m poppy I live in Westbourne area and I’m looking for a babysitter to look after my six-year-old daughter two afternoons a week around four hours.
My daughter Angel has been diagnosed with ADHD , She is a confident talkative, energetic fun, loving little girl, That is at her happiest in the company of others playing outdoors climbing doing gymnastics playing any games really as long as he has a Playmate
Most of the time she is happy and how I describe her above, but she can switch, Often without any known trigger and get angry and stressed out often Escalating
Distraction is the best way to deter the escalation of her anger and outburst
E.g I might go get on the trampoline and start jumping and ask her if she’s gonna join me, That usually Snap her out of it, And back to the happy lil girl again.
Obviously, this is not always the case and often she will get herself worked up. It is impossible to reach her., Letting her have her rant until she calms herself down and with a bit of reassurance she’s okay
I feel it’s important to tell you this as many people think that she’s just a badly behaved child when she has These outbursts, And this is not the case
She just struggles managing her emotions and When she’s feeling something she can’t explain, It usually comes out in anger.
I am currently refurbishing and redecorating our new property. It’s something that I enjoy and I tee to do it myself, But obviously, it’s hard with the six year old wants your attention, This is why I’m looking for a few hours a week extra so that I can move things along with my work.
