About Me
At First Class Learning we develop a personalised programme of learning for your child [4-16 years] which includes 1:1 tuition and homework for the week. We support you and your child with programmes that are aligned to the National Curriculum.
My Experience
I am a qualified teacher with over 15 years experience in both primary and secondary teaching. I was previously a senior leader in primary schools and serving as Head of English and as Science Lead Practitioner leading science across 6 primary and 2 secondary schools. I served as the Deputy Leader of Academies at the Department of Education, contributing to the improvement of schools on a broader scale. I have supported school leaders as Development Lead at Teach First and led on transition, career and alternative education programmes in my role as Head of Programmes at a training organisation. I am on the advisory panel for the Department of Education Key Stage 2 reading tests and science tests and an assessor and moderator for the National Professional Qualifications[NPQs] for leading teaching, leading literacy, Early Years and Senior leadership ensuring the continuous development of our educators.
