About Me
I am a 25 year old from Dorset with two degrees in Art History. I've spent the past two years teaching English at a girls school in Hong Kong. Before that, I have been working in several roles on international summer courses, developing and leading their activities programmes. Aside from childcare and education, I also have worked in domestic roles and can provide as much domestic help as is needed. Additionally, I can provide a creative and supportive environment for your child through academic tutoring, arts and crafts, a love of nature and the outdoors and a present and reliable aid to the household. I am an excellent home cook (particularly for dietary requirements) and I love to share my love of cooking with others. My personal hobbies include foraging, life drawing, piano and singing, baking and reading just about anything I can get my hands on.
My Experience
I have taught English for two years from ages 6-13 in Hong Kong. I also ran ECAs in public speaking and additional help with reading for SEN. I have personal and professional experience with different forms of autism, ADHD, dyslexia and mental health in children, and care deeply about meeting the specific needs of each individual child and going beyond to encourage and support them as much as possible. For me, this is a personal provocation of duty to help each child reach their full potential in life and especially to enjoy being at school and learning. I have held various roles at Sherborne International and Education First (Oxford) where I organised and lead away trips, facilitated learning and activities in the classroom and between lessons, supported boarding house duties and all the fun of the evening sessions. I also worked domestically in the boarding houses as a cleaner and caretaker of the properties.

My Availability
I am currently based in Dorset but am happy to move anywhere around the beautiful South West. I am currently learning to drive but do not yet have a licence. A live in position would be helpful, or a location where I could use public transport for access. Full time or part time is welcome, on the understanding that I may have to undertake other part time work to pay for rent if necessary. Earliest availability is December 2024.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
Fees can be arranged in person depending on the contract hours of the position and any deficit costs to the family (for example accommodation). Additional academic tutoring outside of the basic caretaking will be added as an additional charge.
