About Us
Abbey Nursery School was established in 1980. We aim to develop a happy, caring, organised, secure and stimulating environment for you and your child.
We aim to help your child develop an imaginative, creative and enquiring mind for independent and cooperative playing and learning.
We value and respect each child as an individual and aim to develop each child’s understanding and regard for the rights, beliefs and cultures of others.
Our nursery ethos is to ensure that the nursery’s atmosphere is welcoming, and supportive and to value the beliefs and cultures of all children and their parents.
We believe in a calm, disciplined and caring atmosphere where common sense, courtesy and respect for oneself, parents, staff and others are equally valued.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection took place in March 2022 and we were identified as ‘GOOD’. The report is available to read online on the Ofsted website.
