My Experience

Being the eldest daughter in my family, I can proudly say I took good care of my 4 younger siblings in my parents' absence. Most of the time I would look after them in the afternoons and weekends when my mum had meetings.
In 2020 when the pandemic hit, I moved to the city to live with my uncle. I was helping with the general house chores like cleaning the house, making food, and organizing the house. I also took care of my 3 cousins who were 7, 5, and 2 years old. I looked after them on weekdays between 8 and 5 pm when their parents were at work. My role when with them was to ensure the 7 and 5-year-old were ready for classes in time. Since the classes were all online at the time, I had to watch them, make sure they were concentrating, and also participating. I had to multitask since I would also be minding the 2-year-old at the same time. I played with her, building with lego blocks and stacking toys when her siblings were in class. I also made sure the children had their meals in time and helped them complete their homework and work on their art projects. I took them outside every evening to ride their bikes, model with play dough, and just run around the compound. What I enjoyed most while taking care of my cousins was seeing smiles on their faces as we joyfully played together.

My Qualifications

- over a year experience working with children between 3 and 7 years in the UK
- babysitting experience for kids ranging ages 7 months to 11 years
- first aid trained

My Availability

My schedule is fairly flexible. I am happy to do school drop offs and after school pick ups. Also available to work on Saturdays. Work hour restrictions- 20hrs/week.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.50 per hour
• Nannying from £16.95 per hour (gross)
