My Summary
About Me
Hello, I'm Warren, I live in Hoylake. I bring a well-rounded skill set and a genuine passion for helping others reach their full potential. Currently studying computing, I have a solid foundation in technical knowledge, which I combine with real-world experience from roles across various industries. My background spans customer service, management, and construction which means I can offer practical insights and effective study strategies tailored to individual needs.
One of my strengths is simplifying complex topics and making them accessible and engaging. Whether it’s computing concepts, or basic coding, or building analytical skills, I work to create a supportive, patient, and encouraging environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and tackle challenges head-on. My approach is hands-on, adaptable, and focused on real-life applications, ensuring that every lesson is relevant, impactful, and engaging.
I firmly believe that these skills are invaluable when learned early, opening doors to rewarding opportunities in the future.
My Experience
I have a diverse background in both teaching and industry that uniquely equips me to support students in a range of subjects. I began tutoring by helping my daughter prepare for her GCSEs, focusing on English and Maths, and I have since guided her in developing basic computer skills. This experience gave me invaluable insight into how to adapt my approach to suit different learning styles and ensure students build confidence alongside their skills.
My academic journey has covered a variety of disciplines, from economics and architectural drafting to construction technology, data analytics, and programming – all of which help me deliver a well-rounded, hands-on approach to tutoring. Additionally, I am a member of the IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology), which keeps me connected with the latest developments in technology and engineering.
With this blend of practical experience and formal training, I offer a unique perspective that makes complex topics accessible, providing my students with a solid foundation to excel in both academics and future career pursuits.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in building surveying, and I am studying a computer science as a mature student.
