Hiya, I'm a caring and creative person who loves working with children of all ages. I'm currently doing a gap year and reapplying to uni as well as working at a nursery but want to change to babysitting.
My Experience
I have been working as a nursery apprentice for 2 months now, working with children of all ages from a couple of months old to 4 years old. I love this job but need a change as my work, college, and personal life are not balanced.
I volunteer to babysit my nephew every Thursday evening during school term and some weekends. I have been babysitting him since he was 4 months old.
At my school, I volunteered to read with year 7s to help them reach their reading age and gain more confidence.
I did one week of work experience and shadowed different health visitors to see their role in the community. During that week I worked in various settings like weighing in clinics, Healthy Child programs health reviews, and home visits. I interacted with children of different ages from newborns to 5 years old.
My Qualifications
I finished year 11 with 8 GCSEs, achieving a grade of 4 or above in each GCSE.
Then, I attended Edgbarrow Sixth form and took A-level exams in Double Health and Social Care (equivalent to 2 A-levels) and Art, achieving grades Distinction*, Distinction, and a B.
My Availability
Will have to give notice for leaving my job.
