My Summary
About Me
Hello! My name is Catharine, and I’m a caring, reliable, and passionate childcare provider with a strong foundation in child and adolescent development. Currently, I’m completing my MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, which has given me a deep understanding of child psychology and the developmental needs of young people. I truly enjoy working with children of all ages, and I strive to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where they can learn, grow, and have fun.
With experience working with children in a variety of settings – from hospitals and schools to family homes – I bring a practical and nurturing approach to my work as a nanny and babysitter.
I believe every child is unique and deserves individual attention, kindness, and encouragement to help them thrive. Gaining straight A*s at GCSE and a First in my University degree, I am happy to help with children's homework, whether it be sciences, maths or humanities subjects, and to foster and encourage their study habits.
My Experience
I have experience working with and supporting kids across all ages and needs. For the past 1.5 years, I’ve volunteered as a Playworker at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, bringing play, comfort, and a friendly face to children during difficult times. Before that, I worked as a Music/Drama Gap Student at Thomas’s Fulham, a primary school, where I helped with many extra-curricular activities and worked in the classroom to create a fun and creative learning environment.
I’ve also volunteered at several SEN schools during sixth form, gaining experience working with children with different developmental needs. Alongside these roles, I have a lot of babysitting experience with different ages, so I’m comfortable adapting to each child’s unique needs.
I hold an Enhanced DBS Check
Thank you very much for considering me, and I hope to meet you soon!
