I have been babysitting from my early teenage years including family members and friends,
As I have been working in nursery settings for several years I have found increasing interest in school readiness as I have spent a lot of time in preschool but am able to tailor activities around the specific child’s age and interests.
I enjoy supporting and encouraging the children I’m working with in building their confidence and hitting new milestones.
I have experience in forest schools and love the outdoors and often take children to feed the ducks or walks to the park!
I enjoy messy play and setting up creative activities using arts and crafts encouraging the children to use their imagination to explore different materials.
I enjoy travelling and exploring different cultures and foods,
I am also abit of a bookworm and enjoy reading by the river.
I live in the borough of Richmond and would describe myself as bubbly,inquisitive and fun.
I have trained in special educational needs and behavioural management and am very patient and understanding of different types of expression children may use.
My Experience
I have coming up to five years experience in childcare now as I started out babysitting at the age of 15, I then realised I wanted to pursue a career in this sector and continued on by working as a childminder’s assistant.
After gaining experience with all ages between 4 months to 5 years, I then moved on to be a nursery practitioner where I specialised in preschool. Alongside my time at the nursery’s I have also been nannying for the last two years for children 2-4 including all day care, over night assistance, school pick ups, setting up and engaging in fun activities and more!
