Warm, patient, capable and kind :)

Melanie is such a warm, kind and reliable babysitter, and it is a real relief for me to know I can leave everything in her capable hands while I'm out. She has been patiently building a solid foundation of trust with my 12 year old autistic child, to the point where they can now go out together. Melanie is supportive and accepting when my child needs to retreat, and she'll quite happily take care of household tasks in the meantime - a real gift for a single mum! I would highly recommend her services.

Great sitter

I have used Melanie to sit my 4 high school age children several times and she is always a pleasure to see. She is especially good with my 12 year old Autistic son who really enjoys her visits and who's additional needs she is very good at understanding and managing.
Her communication and punctuality are great. I thoroughly recommend her.

Couldn’t be happier.

Melanie was everything I expected having read her other reviews. Arriving in good time and replying to messages very quickly.
Melanie was in action as soon as she met our daughter and engaged with her instantly.

Wonderful, friendly and professional babysitter

We booked Melanie as a babysitter for our 5 year old daughter, and straight away on introduction, we felt that she was incredibly warm and friendly.
It took no time at all for our daughter to engage with Melanie as she was so welcoming, and felt instantly reassured that our daughter would be very happy with her for the evening.
Melanie updated me when my daughter had gone to sleep, which helped us to remain relaxed knowing that she was happy and settled.
Melanie was also absolutely amazing with our house cat too, which was an added bonus for us.
It's very clear to see how passionate Melanie is about working with children, and her expert service and lovely caring nature is second to none. Thank you so much, Charlotte and Jim.

Wedding Nanny

Melanie looked after our 1 year old daughter and two sons of one of my bridesmaids, who are 9 months and 2.5 yrs old, on the day of our wedding in Herefordshire.

I was initially cautious having one person look after three young children without previously knowing them all but Melanie said she was confident to do so and she was absolutely fantastic. From initial communication to arrival on the day, she was very professional and clearly extremely experienced. She started in the house in the morning whilst we were getting ready for the wedding and stayed until we returned at midnight. She is full of energy and able to keep a group like this engaged and entertained (which is not an easy task!) whilst also being loving and on top of all things safety. During the wedding, she provided my bridemaid/the other mother with regular updates.

I could not have felt more comfortable leaving our children with someone. I would definitely recommend Melanie and would have no hesitatation in contacting her for babysitting/nannying in the future.

part time nanny for my 7 month old girl

Melanie has been caring for my 7 month old girl two mornings per week. It’s safe to say she is fantastic! It’s been an absolute pleasure having her watch my girl. Melanie is very punctual, polite and super child focused with lots of songs, animal noises and cheeky faces, my little lady absolutely loves it! Melanie will go over and above to make sure she’s being helpful even when the little one would sleep! She has a huge amount of knowledge and experience which makes her role of caring for little ones come naturally and easy. Any family would be very lucky to have Melanie join them!

Patricia Smith

We had Melanie for a 6 week period for mornings and she was very reliable and trustworthy. She is a really nice women who's experience in working with babies or children is second to none. Our daughter really enjoyed her time with Melanie and warmed to her as soon as they met. Melanie has countless games and activities that any child would love. I would highly recommend her services to all parents and i will definitely stay in contact.

Babysitting for an event

Melanie was professional, organised and friendly whilst we were contacting one another to arrange babysitting for a number of families for an event. During the babysitting itself, she was warm, friendly and excellent with all the children. They took to her straightaway and we all felt more than confident leaving them in her care. She is experienced and highly competent. I would thoroughly recommend her.

Holiday help!

Melanie stepped in to help throughout the summer break whilst my 3 year old was off nursery and I returned to work. She also looked after my 20 month old daughter.

The children instantly warmed to Melanie and I felt at ease leaving them with her. Melanie is very capable and seems to have a lovely nature with children. She thought of activities and outings to keep them amused and made what could have been a difficult summer holiays and returning to work a smoother transition.

Melanie also helped out with laundry and the house was always tidy when I came home ....and cat sat whilst we wre on holiday! She was always happy to come earlier or stay later if my work required.

I would recommend Melanie as a Nanny. We all wish her well for her next endeavour!

Great temporary nanny

Melanie kindly stepped in to cover a last minute childcare need and was wonderful with our son, aged 2.5 and daughter, aged 12 months.
Melanie is very reliable, flexible, takes great initiative and immediately gained our confidence in her childcare abilities. Melanie gained the trust of the children very quickly, and they thoroughly enjoyed her looking after them.
Melanie has great attention to details and takes care in ensuring she acquires all relevant information about the children and their routine prior to commencing her role. Activities for play were discussed and Melanie arrived with a gamut of ideas of things to keep the children engaged.
As I was working abroad, Melanie provided a thorough handover during each day. Melanie was responsible for the children from 7am-7pm each day, ensuring all their care needs were met, meal preparation and bedtime routine. These were all performed to an excellent standard.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Melanie in a childcare role.
