About Me
I provide babysitting, housecare and casual tutor services. I have recently moved back to the area, having grown up around Aberystwyth. I know a small amount of basic Welsh. I am friendly and creative, working with music, crafts, and nature e.g. in the past I have taught children how to read, knit, make music, get creative with things such as origami, and plant flowers. I am imaginative, enthusiastic, and love working with children for that reason.
My Experience
I have experience with babysitting from my time living in Aberystwyth. More recently, in Leeds, I worked as a workshop assistant at a Youth Theatre. This involved working with a large group of children, keeping them engaged, entertained, and encouraging their own creativity. With such a large group, this also involved teaching the children about ways of interacting with one another with respect and kindness. In this capacity, I have further experience working with children with various needs, for example neurodivergence e.g. ADHD. I have safeguarding training and a DBS check.
My Qualifications
Having just finished my undergrad and MA in English, History, and Performance Writing, I have no childcare-related official qualifications. I can, however, provide references for my previous work with children if required.
