About Me
I have been married to my husband Mik for 25 years, we have 4 grown up children and have lived in Berkhamsted since 1988.
We live in a large welcoming family home within a mile of the town centre. We have lots of space to play inside and out and have a very child friendly dog.
The most important part of childminding for me is for children to be and feel safe and secure and for parents to leave their children and go off to work feeling the same.
I have an assistant 1 or 2 days a week who has been with me for 3 years. She is a very trusted family friend I have known for 15 years.
I am regstered with Ofsted,-rated Good and am a member of the National Childminders Association.
I have public and employers liability insurance and drive a 7-seater car with enough apprpriate child safety seats for everybody.
My Experience
I have worked with children all my working life after training for my NNEB at college when I left school.
I have worked in many childcare settings including a private nanny, in schools and various nurseries and as a toddler gymnastic coach at local sports centres.
I registered as a childminder in 2006 and have thoroughly enjoyed this element of my career.
I have worked with many local families and several have been with me since their 1st child was just a few months old and am now looking after the 2nd and 3rd children in some cases.
We are very active childminders and are out most days on walks, visits to parks, indoor play areas such as Kidzone and have a huge garden and access to walks from home.
I have lots of space at home for various ages to play and rest together and alongside each other. I love having different ages of children together as I feel this represents normal family life and I like to think of my setting as being a homelike type environment.
Children tend to settle very quickly and they care for each other very much and many families have become very close friends through meeting each other through their children coming to me.

My Fees
My fees are £5.50 per hour and this includes all food and any outings or activities we take part in.
