Hi there,
I am a live life to the fullest kind of person. For me this mainly means community, connection is our biggest strength as humans and nothing connects like childcare, providing the next generation with love and support. A few years ago I traveled around Europe with my husband in a 1986 VW that I restored myself, along this journey we were found by an Istrian coarse haired hound- Raul - he is now our trial run for children, and it has been such an honour to recuperate him over the past 2 years.
My Experience
As a teenager I was a local baby sitter, helping around 6 families within the village on evenings and weekends. I have also support friends with their children over the years, firstly living with a friend and supporting her to care for her 2 year old while for 6 months, I then also helped out again with the arrival of their second child, looking after older brother while the new life came along.
When returning from traveling I was offered the opportunity to live on some other friends land, this was a beautiful experience helping them to build their home, they had an autistic 3 year old boy, and a one year old full of excitement. It really was an honor to be so involved, allowing their mum to get on with tasks while I occupied the boys.
