About Me
Hello! We’re a young couple living in the vibrant and family-friendly neighbourhood of Tufnell Park, N19. We’re excited to welcome a caring and reliable nanny into our lives to help care for our three month old.
As a family, we value kindness, creativity, and a sense of fun. We believe in creating a warm and supportive home environment where everyone feels appreciated. When we’re not busy with work, we love exploring local parks, enjoying good food, and spending quality time together.
My Requirements
We are looking to expand our team with an additional nanny for rotational, semi-ad-hoc shifts.
The role involves both day and night support, helping ease the load and allowing us to enjoy our rest time. Flexibility is key, as there are no fixed dates for shifts. No driving is required.
Requirements involve:
1. Feeding Assistance
Bottle Feeding: Preparing and feeding bottles, sterilizing feeding equipment.
Breastfeeding Support: Assisting mother with feeding routines or bottle-feeding expressed milk.
Burping: Ensuring the baby is burped after feeds to prevent discomfort.
2. Sleep and Soothing
Night Care: Watching over the baby during the night, comforting them, and helping them fall back asleep.
Sleep Routines: Supporting the parents in establishing gentle sleep patterns appropriate for the baby's age.
Soothing: Calming the baby using techniques such as rocking, swaddling, or singing.
3. Nappies and Hygiene
Changing nappies promptly to ensure comfort and prevent irritation.
Keeping the baby clean with gentle baths or sponge baths.
Monitoring and caring for sensitive skin to prevent rashes.
4. Developmental Stimulation
Engaging the baby with age-appropriate sensory activities, such as talking, singing, or showing simple toys.
5. General Health Monitoring
Observing the baby for signs of discomfort, illness, or developmental concerns.
Keeping track of feeding, sleeping, and changing patterns to share with parents.
6. Emotional Support for Parents
Providing reassurance and guidance to first-time or sleep-deprived parents.
Offering the parents opportunities to rest, run errands, or take personal time.
