Kia ora! My name is Emily, I am 27 years old and I am a qualified and fully registered early childhood teacher in my native New Zealand. I have moved to England for a working-holiday before my partner and I settle down and have a family of our own.
I was born with radial dysplasia; my left arm has no radius bone or thumb. Living with this disability has made me into the kind, empathetic and understanding person and teacher I am today.
My Experience
I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2019 and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching: Early Childhood Education in 2021. Since finishing my studies, I have worked full-time as a nursery/early years teacher in New Zealand; one nursery in a baby room (under 2 years) and the most recent in a mixed-aged centre (0-6 years). At the mixed-aged centre, I received induction and mentoring across 2 years to become a fully registered teacher. During these 2 years, I also was:
• Appointed curriculum leader in April 2023; involved reading and approving other teacher’s learning stories, planning of centre wide interests and events, evaluating the outcomes and establishing the implementation of individual learning plans (ILP).
• Appointed person responsible in September 2024; responsible for the day-to-day education and care, comfort and health and safety of the children at the service.
• Working as an Education Support Worker with children that display traits on the autism spectrum.
• Assisted in creating behavioural plans for specific children with additional needs.
• Working alongside Centre Manager as an Associate Teacher for a university student.
• Completed Self-Reviews on various practices, procedures and policies.

• The Incredible Years Autism for Teachers Programme. The programme, across 8 sessions in 2023, provided me with strategies that can effectively promote children's resilience and social and emotional competence.
• Advocates for Child Protection in ECE. Completed in 2024, the programme focused on developing a strong child protection culture by recognising, responding, following appropriate procedures, analysing of practical scenarios and safe professional practice towards child abuse.
• The ENGAGE Programme. Seminars completed in 2022, 2023 and 2024, using the approach develops children's self-regulation skills through intentional play - with skills and games grouped into the three domains of emotional (feeling), cognitive (thinking) and behavioural (doing).
My Availability
My availability is 7:30am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday, with also the option to do some babysitting in the evenings if needed.
*As said above, I am here on a working-holiday. England is my 'home base' for work and travelling across the UK and Europe. While I am travelling, my nannying services will not be available. I will ensure to give you 4 weeks notice of my travel plans and this travel would be a maximum duration of 2 weeks at a time*

I am charging £15 per hour for my nannying service. This takes into account my various qualifications and experience.
