About Me
My name is Sophie and I live with my 2.5 year old little boy, Henry, my partner Charles (Charlie) and our elderly Golden Retriever, Luna.
I currently look after Henry full time but have long term health issues so am now looking for a bit of help. Henry is a typical toddler and loves doing creative play, music and anything where he can move his body about. I loosely follow Montessori ideas around play and take a gentle parenting approach to raising Henry.
Charlie works from home most days but is very busy with his job so cannot provide a regular time for me to take for myself to either rest or do something for myself so having someone I can trust helping with Henry on a regular basis will be literally life changing for me.
My Requirements
I am hoping to find a mothers help/household help who can assist with light household chores where necessary, for example prepping Henry’s lunch, hanging out washing, a quick hoover round or washing up if my health is particularly bad, but the majority of the time you would be playing with Henry, setting up activities for him indoors and outside in our garden etc. I need someone with some flexibility and a can do attitude as some of the role will develop as I get to know you and the scope of the role will change over time depending on mine and Henry’s needs.
I will be starting toilet training soon with Henry so I need someone willing to support this, but in the interim I do not expect anyone to change nappies, I would do this myself.
I am looking for someone to start with 2-3 hours, two mornings a week (09.30-12.30) but would possibly look to add hours on as time goes on. I am currently flexible as to which days of the week this would be, but preferably not 2 consecutive days.
