My Requirements

My ideal mother’s help would be someone who has a bubbly personality, with enough energy to look after Henry, who is a typical toddler. I am happy for play to be child-led, but it would be great if you also came with some ideas of your own - Henry loves doing crafts, building things, and spending lots of time outdoors, whether that’s playing in his mud kitchen or sandpit, or generally pottering about doing some ‘gardening’.

Whilst the majority of the role will be spent looking after Henry, due to my health issues I need someone who has a can do attitude, who can use their initiative to see where help is needed. You must be willing to get stuck in and occasionally assist with light household chores where necessary - for example hanging out washing, a quick hoover round or washing up if my health is particularly bad. I need someone with some flexibility as some of the role will develop as I get to know you and the scope of the role will change over time depending on mine and Henry’s needs.

We have recently started toilet training Henry, so I need someone willing to support this process.

I am looking for someone to start with 3 hours, two mornings a week (09.30-12.30) but would possibly look to add hours on as time goes on. I am currently flexible as to which days of the week this would be (Monday accept for Wednesday) but preferably not 2 consecutive days.

I do not plan on putting Henry through nursery at the end of this year, and am considering homeschooling as an option for the future so this role would suit someone who is looking to join a family long term.
