A wonderful Childminder

Bharti is a lovely Childminder. After having had extremely disappointing experiences with nurseries around the area, we found Bharti through another childminder’s recommendation. Our daughter now goes to her full time from when she was 21 months old.

Bharti took time to reply to all of our initial questions which were many and always makes time for parents as we go on as well.

Bharti is professional, caring and her communication is direct which is something we appreciate.

Our daughter loves her friends and she gets a lovely balance of being at a home away from home and going to various playgroups with Bharti and her other children.

We truly appreciate everything Bharti does for our daughter and we would definitely recommend her as a Childminder to any parent in the area.

The best childminder

Our son went to Bharti's from the age of 16 months to 3 years and absolutely loved every moment of his time there. From the very beginning, he was welcomed as part of the family and he felt so comfortable and at home. As a baby born in lockdown who had previously limited social interaction, this emphasises further the extent of the warm, loving and welcoming environment that Bharti has created in her setting.

Over the course of his time there, our son learned and developed so much under Bharti's care. He enjoyed a great balance of activities - outside the home he attended local playgroups and went on outings including to the park and the library with picnics in the summer and lots of fun in the playground and time for fresh air and exercise. He also enjoyed the wide range of toys in Bharti's home and had many fun days in the garden on the trampoline and playing with other outdoor toys. He also enjoyed more structured activities such as painting - I loved to pick him up and see the creations he had made during his day that he was so proud of.
The food that he enjoyed with Bharti was another huge benefit - she homemade delicious and nutritious meals with a great variety and he would always come home very full and satisfied.
Bharti was always working together with us to support our son's growth and development, and was so dedicated in supporting him whether it be with developing his language or learning to use the toilet. I always felt comfortable communicating with her, and loved to receive photos at the end of each week that showed the activities he had enjoyed with his friends in the setting. If my son was feeling a little unwell or out of sorts on any day, Bharti would always message to keep me updated and reassure me that everything was going well.
I cannot recommend Bharti highly enough. She is kind, caring, organised, creative and welcomes every child as a part of her own family. We were lucky to have her!

Brilliant, caring, loving childminder

Bharti was our son's childminder for over a year when he was a toddler. Her house became a second home for him. He was always excited and happy to go there each morning, and I never had any concerns or doubts about leaving him with her.
I chose Bharti as a childminder because of her many years of experience both as a childminder and as a mother, her impressive record-keeping and references, and her clear policies and rules about all aspects of childminding. I believed that our son would be safe, happy, and well cared for with her and this was absolutely true.
Bharti always packed so much into every day. She regularly took him to toddler groups to mix with other children, and on other days he was able to play in her home with her extensive collection of toys. They did many activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities such as visits to the park and playground. Most days he proudly brought home a piece of artwork or food that they had made together.
Bharti kept excellent records of our son's time with her, including photographs that she regularly shared with us, and detailed records of his development in areas such as language, physical, and emotional development. These were all kept in a ‘learning journey’ that we had the opportunity to review at regular intervals. It was great to have so much information about how he was learning and developing. She also kept us informed every day of exactly what he had been doing, his behaviour, any notable milestones or anything unusual, and what he had to eat and drink. All of this was very helpful and reassuring.
She cooked a homemade lunch every day and encouraged him to eat a wide variety of foods. She also managed to get him to take a nap every day, and was hugely supportive and helpful when he was toilet training.
She has an excellent manner with children because she is very loving and caring, but also very capable of being firm and setting boundaries when needed. Bharti combines the warmth of a home/family environment with professional-standard educational and child development resources.
Bharti’s own family were often at home or visiting and provided a wider support network and a true family environment.
Our son developed greatly in terms of his language, his socialising with other children and adults, his eating, using the toilet, and self-care. We are very grateful to Bharti for the huge part she played in all of this progress.
We have no hesitation at all in recommending Bharti as a childminder.

Amazing,trustworthy,creative, flexible, fun

Our boys have both been with Bharti. My youngest was picked up from nursery and taken back for the afternoon a few times a week. He loved it there. A huge variety of stimulating, fun activities were offered and he was fed wonderfully! Bharti would feedback every day on what he had done, who he’d played with and what he’d eaten. He still talks about it 5 years later and still has friends he made there. When I was stuck, then she would sometimes take my older one too as he was desperate to go too. I would definitely recommend Bharti to anyone who wants the best home based childminding. The rest of her family are lovely too.

Home from home

We used this childminder for our two children during the transition from nursery to primary school. She is very experienced, and provides a very calm and homely atmosphere. She is 100% reliable (very important for two full time working parents) and very experienced. Both my children still talk about her great food! I would not hesitate to recommend!
