About Me
I was room leader of the toddler room for a year and my experiences have taught me leadership skills as well as planning, partnership with parents, developing my knowledge around the EYFS as well as the development matters and statutory framework. I am currently first aid trained as well as safeguarding trained. I have many other training certificates including Multi-agency and Safeguaring &
Child Protection, Manual handling, Food Allergy & Intolerance training, GDPR training, Infection Prevention and control, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Personal Development and Self-awareness, Prepared to save a life, FGM, Keep them safe- Child protection.
My Experience
I worked as an Early Years Practitioner supporting children between 2-4 years of age.
This gave me experience working with children during their early year stage. My tasks were:
? Reading with children
? Supporting children with disabilities.
? Reading with/to the children.
? Providing snacks and lunch.
? Supporting children with their learning such as phonics, counting and reading.
? T aking registers
? Providing safeguarding to the children and keeping confidential information.
? Working with other practitioners within the setting and the settings manager.
I have also worked within primary schools from the ages 4-9 years old. My tasks were:
Reading to the children.
? Organising the classroom for the teacher.
? Helping with the daily lessons and activities.
? Helping the children at break and lunch times when they were eating and/or in
the playground.
? T aking the Register.
? Updating reading records and sorting book bags with new reading books, letters,
homework etc.
My Qualifications
I completed my studies doing NCFE CACHE T echnical Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) This was a 2 year course for which I then received a Diploma in Childcare and Education. My first year grade was an A*. I then
received my Certificate to say that I have completed and passed my first year of this course. My overall grade for this curse was an A* and I was very pleased with my grade.
After I finished college I wanted to find work in a childcare setting straight away.
