About Me
Hello! I’m a co-childminder working alongside my wife, Jenny, at Jenny's Childminding. I’m fully registered with Ofsted, DBS-checked, and trained in Paediatric First Aid. Having worked as Jenny’s assistant for four years, my passion for childcare inspired me to become registered in my own right, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue providing quality care for children.
I bring a love of music into our setting, playing a variety of instruments, including the guitar and regularly hosting fun mini music sessions for the children. I also enjoy arts and crafts and take great pride in creating exciting and engaging activities that spark creativity and joy.
Together, Jenny and I have created a warm, home-from-home environment. Our home has been thoughtfully adapted to provide the perfect space for children to play, learn, and thrive during the day.
Our setting is conveniently located near Hook Infant and Junior Schools, as well as local parks, offering plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun and exploration.
My Experience
I have four years of experience as a childminding assistant, working alongside my wife, Jenny Egan, who is an Ofsted-registered childminder with a "Good" rating. During her inspection, I was actively involved, contributing to the daily routines and activities that demonstrated the high-quality care we provide.
In addition to my professional experience, I am also a proud father of four children, aged 3, 5, 7, and 12. Being a parent myself has given me invaluable firsthand experience in understanding the needs and developmental stages of children across different ages. This dual perspective, as both a professional and a parent enables me to connect with children in a nurturing and empathetic way, ensuring they feel secure and supported in our care.

We are incredibly pleased with the care and environment that Jenny and Sean provide for our daughter at their childminding setting. Every morning, she runs in confidently and happily, and it’s heartwarming to see her greeted so warmly by both Sean and Jenny. Since she attends full-time from Monday to Friday, it was crucial for us to find a place where she would be well cared for, have fun, and continue to develop—and we found that here.
Our daughter settled in very quickly, and even after a holiday or break, she is always excited to return. Jenny and Sean have created an environment that has greatly supported her confidence, routine, and overall wellbeing. It’s clear from drop-offs and pick-ups how well they know her—from her food preferences to her favourite ways to play and what makes her laugh. The strong relationship they’ve built with her gives us immense comfort, knowing she is in the best care and enjoying enriching experiences every day.
We greatly appreciate the structure and variety of the days, Jenny has created a service that introduces the children to new concepts through education and play. I have been very impressed with the themed weeks and the wide range of new activities the children get to experience!
