About Me
I am a woman in my early 30s with over 10 years professional childcare experience but as well as this, I also have nieces and nephews and lots of friends with children who I love to spend time with! I am a positive, empathetic person who loves animals, being outdoors and cooking. I am calm and respectful.
My Experience
I have worked with children for over 10 years in early years, special needs and outreach settings. I specialise in autism, adhd, global developmental delay and can use various alternative methods of communication for non-verbal children. I can also use makaton sign language. I have lots of experience working with children with complex medical needs including the use of hoists for wheelchair users and children with epilepsy. I can confidently help a child with their homework, or assist with cooking and am happy to plan fun activities too. I am happy to support with any personal care needs too.
My Qualifications
I am first aid trained, epilepsy trained and can confidently use a hoist.
I have a level 3 diploma in children and young person's workforce.
I have a BA Honours Degree in Youth Justice.
I am currently a DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead)
My Availability
I work full time in a school so my availability is around school hours.
