My Experience

I have over two years of experience working with children, particularly those aged 5 and above. I volunteered at a local primary school, where I helped younger children improve their reading skills and provided one-on-one tutoring sessions. This experience taught me how to communicate effectively with children, build trust, and adapt my approach to meet each child's individual needs. It was incredibly rewarding to watch them grow in confidence and skill, and it strengthened my passion for working with young people.

While I have not had formal babysitting experience yet, I’m eager to start and see it as a wonderful opportunity to expand my skills. With my flexible schedule during my gap year, I’d love to gain hands-on experience in providing childcare, offering a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children.

My Qualifications

A-Level Education: Recently completed A-Levels with strong academic performance, demonstrating my ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and communicate clearly.

University: Heading to Cardiff University this September to study Sociology (the study of society, exploring how culture, institutions, and social factors shape behaviour, relationships, and social change).

Experience with Children: Over two years of volunteering at a local primary school, where I helped children with reading and provided one-on-one tutoring, showing my ability to work with children and understand their needs.

Leadership and Responsibility: Leadership skills developed through my involvement in CCF, where I learned to stay calm under pressure and take responsibility in challenging situations.

Strong Communication Skills: Both through my academic studies and my volunteering, I have honed my ability to explain concepts clearly and interact effectively with people of all ages.

My Availability

I am available for part-time babysitting, with flexible hours during the later day, afternoons, and evenings. While I would prefer to discuss dates and timings at least a week in advance, I can often accommodate short-notice requests as well. Since I’m on my gap year, my schedule is quite open, and I’m happy to work with you to find a time that fits your needs.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.98 per hour

In terms of payment, I would ideally like to receive £12 per hour, depending on the specific circumstances and the nature of the babysitting. As I’m currently on my gap year, I’m hoping to use the earnings to fund trips that will provide me with valuable cultural experiences and broaden my understanding of the world.
