About Me
Growing up in a single parent house hold with a full time working mum, I know first hand how important it is for a child to have a nanny that cares for them, makes them feel safe and makes them laugh. I am a caring and calm individual who will ensure that the child or children I look after will feel at ease in my care and thrive in a happy and nurturing environment. My love for cooking comes from my Mum, who taught me to be able to cook from a young age as I’d be responsible for cooking my own after school meals from the age of 14. Health and well being has always been important to me and I will provide healthy and hearty meals when I cook. I love cooking for other people and a lot of my friends and family have various dietary restrictions, allergies and intolerances so I am also equipped in knowing recipes for all food preferences. I was an art scholar at school and have always been creative. I love seeing my younger siblings and engaging in craft projects with them, such as making birthday or holiday cards for friends and family, making jewellery from basic craft materials, and painting pictures to put up in their rooms or on the kitchen fridge. I have always done well at school and at university, currently averaging a 1st in my studies so am more than capable of helping children of all ages with homework and reading, and genuinely enjoy teaching.
My Experience
I have two half sisters who are now 11 and 13. I used to babysit them a lot when they were growing up. I would cook lunch and dinners for them, take them to the park, play games with them at home, help them with homework and sometimes put them to bed. This wasn’t consistent work that I was paid for, it was voluntary as I enjoy spending time with my younger sisters.
My Qualifications
3 A levels acquired at Reed’s School: Business (A*), English Literature (A), Philosophy and Religion (A).
9 GCSEs acquired at Notre Dame School Cobham, inc English and Mathematics
My Availability
I am a university student with just a couple of classes a day and with Tuesdays and Thursdays off. I would like to work a couple of mornings/ afternoons/ evenings a week and can do a full day if required as the children are young.
