About Me
My name is Stacie and I am a qualified primary school teacher.
I am DBS checked.
I have recently left my most recent post due to a change of location.
I was travelling long distance for work for over a year after the birth of my son, who is now 2.
I am able to provide online tutoring and I am happy to travel locally.
The price for face to face tutoring is more expensive to cover travel costs.
I am looking to do some tutoring part time to support children who need some extra support within primary education.
I can tailor the teaching to a variety of needs and I have a very adaptive approach.
My Experience
I have been a primary school teacher for 5 years where I taught all areas of the primary curriculum for children with a range of needs.
I have worked 1-1 and in small groups giving extra support to those children who needed it within school.
I really enjoy teaching English and maths so those are a particular strength of mine.
Before that I worked in a range of other care settings including nannying and volunteer work at a special educational needs school.
My Qualifications
I have a BA Hons in primary education with qualified teacher status.
I have a BTEC with double distinction in health and social care.
5+ GCSE's grade A-C
Training with maths mastery, special educational needs and trauma informed schools.
I can provide a list of training If required.
Before starting university I enrolled on an online course with open study college where I recieved a level 3 cache certificate for teaching and learning in schools.
My Availability
My availability will depend on my own childcare but I can be available for tutoring evenings and after school most days.

I will also be doing some supply work in schools across Sussex.
I currently am unable to do babysitting but this may change.

My family used Stacie to cover our permanent tutor whilst she was away and have to say we could not have a picked a better person for the job. Stacie was professional and had a natural instinct for keeping the kids interested in their studies, whilst giving a friendly bond. She is patient, warm hearted and kept the children focused.
